passed from hand to hand.
At Legacy Board House, every set is designed to last: woods chosen for their grain, hand-cut pieces and well-judged proportions. Objects to keep and to pass on, which gain character with every game.

Backgammon,
a family affair.
Our backgammon sets are handmade in Greece by the Manopoulos family. It all began in 1970 with a shop in Athens; the workshop followed in 1975, then the factory in Thebes, in Boeotia, in 2000. Their boards are now sold in more than 25 countries.
Walnut burl, walnut, stained oak, marquetry: each board keeps the unique pattern of its wood. Two backgammon sets of the same model are never quite identical.

A name, an intention
What we pass on.
Legacy means heritage. A hand-carved set lasts through the years: it passes from parent to child, keeps the marks of the games played and ends up telling a family story.
That is why our sets are made to last, and why we guarantee them for 3 years.
